Bringing beauty to the not so beautiful

My work is born out a passion of a soul who has spent most of her childhood in the wilderness, amongst trees, laughing with flowers , falling in love with nature .

And now here I live in the middle of one of the worlds most populated and congested cities in the world. A city where we all are just fighting for our existence , where nights are mostly starless and days are nothing but hot and humid.

Not ideal, but I do my bit, not to escape reality but to be able to stay in it. A world where you bring home a world full of mysteries. Where life is fast , but also slow. Where a lot is artificial but also some things real. Where we seek perfection but also love simplicity. Handmade with love.

Just near by bedroom , this little outer storage place, has been my art supply heaven for some time. Apart from my art stuff this place is dedicated to storing stuff that is all old and rusty. In the last week i painted these two pieces out of an inherent desire to bring some beauty here. I am no interior expert, but I love to bring beauty in places. How do you get beauty in the mundane areas of your home?
