Dated : June 2020. Amidst a nationwide lockdown in my country . Some of the shareable "lines" from my morning pages:
I have been spending the last week splashing dripping paint across a large piece of canvas . The creativity thrust a large piece of art can invoke cannot be denied. It is almost like large art holds some magic , the way your hands can move , the paints can flow .. and the palettes picked almost like a meditative process , bringing in peace and oh so much thrill.
I never try to reproduce work as is- exactly as seen in nature , but nature is my inspiration to express and extract the emotion I feel when I see the subject in nature . (yes that’s my head :)
I cannot deny — this process can be frustrating
Painting as seeing something as is comes with its own set of challenges but this process the process of emoting nature , abstracting it is new to me .. and seems all the more challenging.
But then but what is easy in life ? And oh how much I am enjoying this challenge .. what about you - as a creative how do you challenge yourself ?
Wow! Love seeing your expression of emotion inspired by nature. Its very inspiring
