When I painted everyday through 100 days of Covid lockdown

Updated: May 19, 2021

Do you want to start a project a 100 day project , with no break ? I f you are a creative artist or a fitness freak or like to cook , each of us honestly , I am sure you would know an activity you enjoy and you could do for a 100 days.

The benefit you would ask ? Well developing skill , growing creatively , discipline , the list goes on honestly .

I was in two minds initially , but at the beginning of 2020 I had promised myself that I will work with intention towards my art practice .

And so keeping this in mind I pushed towards this ambitious 100 day project , making one minimal nature inspired topic a day . And what a roller coaster it turned out to be ! I loved every single painting of it ! I enjoyed the process and most of all I admired the outcome - 100 paintings , all my own , all coming together like a dream. If you are ever , ever in two minds of this project I would suggest - you go , you start ! Just start the rest will follow through.

And if there are a few things that can keep this easy for you are -

  1. choose a easy subject that can be done in let’s say 15 mins

  2. choose a palette for every 10/ 20 batches

  3. allot yourself a fix time of the day

  4. enjoy the process , not the goal #doitfortheprocess
